What is SANCTIFICATION?

 Romans 12:1-2

King James Version

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren,

by the mercies of God,

that ye present your bodies

a living sacrifice,

holy,

acceptable unto God,

which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world:

but be ye transformed

by the renewing of your mind,

that ye may prove what is that good,

and acceptable,

and perfect,

will of God.

What is sanctification?

Modern-day dictionaries define sanctification as:

"being purified,

being freed from sin,

making holy,

causing something to be morally right,

and acceptable"

Acceptable to whom?

Born agains only care that it is acceptable to GOD.

In accordance to GOD's will.

We can't know GOD's will, unless we're born again.

JESUS defines a "born again":

John 3:5-7

King James Version

5 Jesus answered,

Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

By being born again, we receive discernment from SPIRIT.

1 Corinthians 2:14

King James Version

14 But the natural man receiveth not

the things of the Spirit of God:

for they are foolishness unto him:

neither can he know them,

because they are spiritually discerned.

The true born again becomes a "new man".

Ephesians 4:24

King James Version

24 And that ye put on the new man,

which after God is created in righteousness

and true holiness.

We have crucified lust from our flesh.

Galatians 5:24

King James Version

24 And they that are Christ's

have crucified the flesh

with the affections and lusts.

By ourselves, we cannot succeed.

We need JESUS.

John 8:12

King James Version

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them,

saying,

I am the light of the world:

he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,

but shall have the light of life.

John 14:6

King James Version

6 Jesus saith unto him,

I am the way,

the truth,

and the life:

no man cometh unto the Father,

but by me.

John 15:5

King James Version

5 I am the vine,

ye are the branches:

He that abideth in me,

and I in him,

the same bringeth forth much fruit:

for without me ye can do nothing.

Only by being CHRIST's own, and walking with the SPIRIT, can we succeed in doing so.

Galatians 5:16-17

King James Version

16 This I say then,

Walk in the Spirit,

and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit,

and the Spirit against the flesh:

and these are contrary the one to the other:

so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Lust is that which corrupts us.

Galatians 5:19-21

King James Version

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest,

which are these;

Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance,

emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness,

revellings, and such like:

of the which I tell you before,

as I have also told you in time past,

that they which do such things

shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Can we really face GOD, and act holy, when we're not?

I knew that in April 2019, when I made a declaration to myself:

ENOUGH of sin.

That's the most important thing.

The desire to change, and be made holy.

According to GOD's will.

That we may be made acceptable when JESUS returns:

1 Thessalonians 5:23

King James Version

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;

and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body

be preserved blameless

unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thus, we need to be sanctified.

The next post will tell you my 7 reasons.
