SANCTIFIED for GOD

 

Isaiah 44:3

King James Version

3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, 

and floods upon the dry ground: 

I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, 

and my blessing upon thine offspring:


All who hunger, and thirst, need to go to GOD.

For He is the FOUNTAIN of LIVING WATERS.

We need to drink from the cup of the LORD.

We cannot, and must not drink, from the cup of devils.

1 Corinthians 10:21

King James Version

21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, 

and the cup of devils: 

ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, 

and of the table of devils.


All who thirst for truth, need to believe in JESUS.

John 4:10

King James Version

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, 

If thou knewest the gift of God, 

and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; 

thou wouldest have asked of him, 

and he would have given thee living water.


We all need to be born again -- "born of water and of the Spirit":

John 3:3-7

King James Version

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, 

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, 

Except a man be born again, 

he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, 

How can a man be born when he is old? 

can he enter the second time 

into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, 

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, 

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, 

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; 

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, 

Ye must be born again.


We need to be sanctified.

For the purpose of this post, we share the teachings of Joseph, who taught me GOD's WORD, early on in 2020, when I was still a baby Christian.


What does "sanctification" mean?

We ITEMIZE his Scripture-based teachings here:

Once we become born again, all our sins, past, present, future, are forgiven! 

In that sense, we are justified and positionally pure, sinless, in God’s sight because Jesus paid the price for all our sins by His death. 

He died in our place so we may live!

On another hand, practically or experientially, we cannot completely free ourselves of sin for the rest of our lives. 

It can be minimized but not completely eradicated. 

In other words, one cannot attain perfect obedience everyday for the rest of our lives. 

The best we can do with the help of the Holy Spirit is to live a life of sanctification, where we undergo spiritual growth or maturity day by day until we leave this earth. 

The sanctification process is achieved by walking in step with Jesus, through God’s Word  

The degree of one’s sanctification will depend upon one’s rate of obedience to God’s Word. 

For the rest of our lives as born again Christians, the challenge to stay away from sin will always be there.

Of course, Jesus is the solution and verse 25 deals with one’s sanctification process. 

Romans 7:25

King James Version

25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 

So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; 

but with the flesh the law of sin.


Unbelievers have only one nature, the sinful nature, mainly because they don’t believe in Jesus, the gospel, and God’s Word. 

Born again Christians have two natures, the sinful nature remains but we are now given a divine nature. 

Because the sinful nature remains, we can still sin, but now that the divine nature is there, we have the ability to defeat sin. 

This battle between these two natures remains! 

As Christians we must do our best to put to death our sinful nature during our lifetime.

SANCTIFICATION paradox

Isaiah 1:18

King James Version

18 Come now, 

and let us reason together, 

saith the Lord: 

though your sins be as scarlet, 

they shall be as white as snow; 

though they be red like crimson, 

they shall be as wool.


It truly is a paradox.

How the LORD's blood can cleanse and wash us from all sin.

Though our sins "be as scarlet", they shall be "as white as snow".

Though they be "red like crimson, they shall be "as wool".

Only through the blood of JESUS can we be cleansed from all sin, and unrighteousness.

 1 John 1:7

King James Version

7 But if we walk in the light, 

as he is in the light, 

we have fellowship one with another, 

and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son 

cleanseth us from all sin.


Not through the blood of animal sacrifice:

Isaiah 1:11

King James Version

11 To what purpose 

is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? 

saith the Lord: 

I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, 

and the fat of fed beasts; 

and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, 

or of lambs, 

or of he goats.


Because our hands are full of blood.

Isaiah 1:15

15 And when ye spread forth your hands, 

I will hide mine eyes from you: 

yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: 

your hands are full of blood.


In the end times, GOD's wrath will cause much blood to pour.

Revelation 14:18-20

King James Version

18 And another angel came out from the altar, 

which had power over fire; 

and cried with a loud cry 

to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, 

Thrust in thy sharp sickle, 

and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; 

for her grapes are fully ripe.

19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, 

and gathered the vine of the earth, 

and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, 

and blood came out of the winepress, 

even unto the horse bridles, 

by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.


When JESUS returns, He shall be clothed this way:

Revelation 19:13

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: 

and his name is called The Word of God.


His armies will be in white.

Revelation 19:13-16

14 And the armies which were in heaven 

followed him upon white horses, 

clothed in fine linen, 

white and clean.


He shall have a sword to "smite the nations", causing more blood to pour.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, 

that with it he should smite the nations: 

and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: 

and he treadeth the winepress 

of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh

And Lord Of Lords.


It's really time to turn away from our sins now.

For the day is at hand.

Mark 1:15

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, 

and the kingdom of God is at hand: 

repent ye, and believe the gospel.

We have no idea the power of the cross.

Nor the power of the LORD's blood.

VERSES on SANCTIFICATION

 Galatians 2:20-21

King James Version

20 I am crucified with Christ: 

nevertheless I live; 

yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: 

and the life which I now live in the flesh 

I live by the faith of the Son of God, 

who loved me, and gave himself for me.


What does it mean to be sanctified?

Who sanctifies us?

What are we sanctified from?

These verses tell us more:

Exodus 31:12-13

12 And the Lord spake unto Moses, 

saying,

13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, 

saying, 

Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: 

for it is a sign between me and you 

throughout your generations; 

that ye may know that I am the Lord 

that doth sanctify you.

17 Sanctify them through thy truth: 

thy word is truth.


Romans 6:1-2

6 What shall we say then? 

Shall we continue in sin,
